Home remedies for Piles / Hemorrhoids

Piles or haemorrhoids is one of the most common ailments today. It is a varicose and often inflamed condition of the veins, inside or just outside the rectum. In external piles, there is a lot of pain but not much bleeding. In the case of internal piles, there is discharge of dark blood. In some cases the veins burst and this results in what is known as bleeding piles.


Hemorrhoids/Piles Definition
Hemorrhoids are swollen and inflamed blood veins around the anus, rectal tunnel, or lower rectum. They can be internal or external and visible. The hemorrhoids are caused from an increase in venous pressure by straining to have a bowel movement and cause itching, pain, and sometimes bleeding.


Piles home remedies

* Smear warm almonds oil on the hemorrhoids for relief.
* Apply some baking soda to help with the itch from the hemorrhoids.
* Mix sliced onion and honey, put some on a cotton wool pad and apply on the hemorrhoids for 3 hours.
* Chop onions and garlic cloves, put on a cotton wool pad and wait for 3 hours. Then apply on the hemorrhoids.
* Drink 1 spoon of olive oil every morning.
* Blanch 4gm of passion fruit to 1/4 cup of water, use a cloth to apply on the hemorrhoids.
* Use lemon regularly to treat hemorrhoids.
* Drink chamomile tea
* Yemeni med: Put one teaspoon of grind fenugreek seeds (Hilba) in a glass of boiling water, add sugar or honey and drink 3 times daily.
* Fill up a tub with potatoes flour or cornflour, sit in the tub and relax for a while.
* Grind carrot or beet, put in the refrigerator, when cool put in a big cloth and drain (leave some juice); put the cloth on the hemorrhoids.
* Mix 1 tablespoon of Vaseline with 1 teaspoon of Flowers of Sulfur and smear on the hemorrhoids 2-3 times a day.
* Sit on a warm stone for a few minutes or until you will feel a relief.
* Fill 1/4 jar with pomegranate peels, the rest fill up with olive oil. Wait 2 weeks and its ready. Apply on the hemorrhoids after you go to the bathroom and before you go to sleep.
* Apply witch hazel to reduce swelling or bleeding.
