Home remedies for Hypertension

High Blood Pressure is a common disease in the modern era.  High BP is also called as silent killer as it does not show any symptoms which effects heart and may cause heart attack.   The modern era is full of stress and people are leading such a fast life that we do not have time to take care of our health.  This stressed up mind leads to increase of adrenaline in blood which eventually leads to increase of blood pressure.  Blood Pressure is nothing but the force which blood exerts on the arterial wall during its normal flow through them.  The blood pressure is measured as ratio of systolic by diastolic.  The normal value of BP is 120/80 mm of mercury.  But if it increases beyond this normal value, it is called as hypertension.  When diastolic pressure is between 80 to 95 mm of Hg, it is considered as mild hypertensive.  When it is above 95 mm. it is considered as hypertensive.  Similarly systolic pressure between 140 to 160 mm is considered as mild hypertensive.  Above 160 mm is considered as hypertensive.

Causes of hypertension

  • Stress life
  • Hormonal changes
  • Obesity
  • Narrowing of blood vessels by deposition of plaque
  • Chronic kidney diseases

  • Drinking of lime water  4 to 5 times a day
  • Consuming garlic is very effective to reduce hypertension as it prevents in deposition of plaque in the arteries
  • Amla ( Indian goose berry) is very effective in treating hypertension
  •  Watermelon is another good remedy for avoiding hypertension
  • Consuming papaya empty stomach for 15 to 20 days helps in curing hypertension
  • Walking bare foot on green grass early morning is another good remedy for hypertension
  • Leaves of tulsi and neem two in number to be consumed empty stomach to get relieved of hypertension
  • Curd mixed with spiegel seeds helps in preventing hypertension
  • Consuming baked potatoes helps in reducing hypertension
  • Honey mixed with onion juice is the best remedy for hypertension when consumed twice daily.
  • Grape juice is another method to reduce high blood pressure
  • Yoga asanas like surya namaskar, makar asana, Matsyasana, Vajrasana, Shavasana and Pranayama are very very effective in bringing down blood pressure and in controlling blood pressure.
